Winter Seed Sowing

Join CAKE CISMA and the Walloon Lake Association and Conservancy in the Community Room on February 28th for a Winter Seed Sowing Workshop. Learn all about how to winter sow native plants and their process of "Cold Stratification" which helps seeds know the right time to germinate based on temperature changes. This free workshop will be held at the Charlevoix Conservation District in the Community Room (Entrance at side of the building. Handicap parking available).

The conservation district is looking to bring more hands-on and informative workshops to the residents and landowners of Charlevoix County, and surrounding Tip of the Mitt region. The community room space is available at no charge for all conservation-based workshops. The conservation district seeks experienced locals willing to share their experience and expertise with the residents and landowners of Charlevoix County, and surrounding Tip of the Mitt region. The community room space is available at no charge for any professionals willing to share their knowledge & skills with others for free.
